1. What are the causes of sexual dysfunction?

  Causes of sexual dysfunction

The causes of sexual dysfunction are mainly divided into psychological reasons and organic reasons. The psychological reasons for the occurrence of sexual dysfunction are relatively complex. This is mostly related to the patient's life experience and living environment. The traditional Chinese family has always avoided talking about sex, which has caused the delay of sex education, thus causing certain psychological effects on the young. These psychological factors mainly include the following aspects.

  First, psychological factors

  1. 'Improper' attitude

Sexual anxiety caused by the fear of failure in sexual life may be a common direct cause of impotence or sexual indifference. Inappropriate or excessive demands on sexual ability by the other party may also be a basic cause of sexual disorders. In addition, another important factor in the occurrence of sexual dysfunction is playing the role of a 'spectator', that is, during sexual life, one party is anxious and强迫性地 focuses on his or her own reaction. This role as a spectator will distract energy and hinder the establishment of moderate sexual response and the achievement of orgasm.

  2. 'Too tortuous' experiences

Experts believe that the internal contradictions related to past sexual experiences are a deep-seated cause of sexual dysfunction. If these contradictions control people's sex life to a certain extent, sexual dysfunction may occur. For example, unpleasant experiences of first contact with sex in childhood, confusion caused by the failure of the first sexual experience, and so on.

  3. Psychological factors of suspicion and jealousy

Doubt and jealousy are often important causes of诱发 sexual dysfunction. When both parties in sexual love have doubts and distrust, there are generally two reasons: one is the distrust and unease caused by insufficient understanding; the other is the closed imagination, neither understanding the root of things nor communicating, always judging things according to their own thinking logic. Many jealous husbands have this problem. They always suspect that their wives have affairs outside the family, and this strong jealousy and suspicion make them have sexual dysfunction. The more obstacles they have, the more they suspect that their wives are seeking compensation outside the family, causing a vicious cycle.

There is no need to worry too much about the functional disorders caused by sexual psychological disorders, because there is no organic lesion itself. As long as attention is paid to adjusting one's mindset and eliminating anxiety, the psychological disorder will disappear, and the functional disorder will naturally disappear.
