Kidney scrofula

　　Mostly due to insufficient congenital endowment, weak constitution, suffering from diseases such as cranial deformation, arthritic knees, and five delays; compounded by excessive consumption of sweet and fatty foods, lack of self-control, leading to internal heat in the viscera, consumption of body fluid, and eventually leading to kidney yin deficiency due to prolonged deficiency.

　　Due to the obvious emaciation in patients with this disease, the body's resistance is easy to be infected with bacteria, the most common being respiratory tract infections, where children may have complications such as bronchitis and bronchopneumonia. Secondly, due to the reduction in subcutaneous fat, insufficient intake may induce the formation of hypoglycemia, which often leads to death in infants before dawn due to hypoglycemia, which should be of great concern to clinical doctors.

　　《Child Health General Principles and Therapeutic Methods》:Symptoms include 'upper heat and lower cold, alternating chills and fever, tooth sores, ear dryness and brain heat; hands and feet cold, vomiting and diarrhea; lower body sores, prolapse of the anus, crying at night, gradually becoming difficult and heavy, and even leading to failure of the high bone.'

Those suffering from this disease will initially have symptoms such as cranial exion, genu varum, delayed tooth eruption, and insufficient kidney Qi. Moreover, due to excessive intake of sweet and fatty foods, it will gradually develop into kidney scrofula after a long time, leading to symptoms such as dark complexion, bleeding gums, bad breath in the mouth, cold feet like ice, abdominal pain and diarrhea, and continuous crying. The treatment should first be Jin Chan Wan to treat the scrofula, followed by Jiu Wei Di Huang Wan to adjust and tonify, and if there is insufficient endowment, Yuan Yuan San should be the main treatment.

　　In addition to clinical manifestations, relevant auxiliary examinations are also indispensable for the diagnosis of kidney scrofula, and the following common examination methods are used: temperature measurement, urine routine, blood routine, stool routine.

　　1, Spleen-tonifying Soup:Bai Zhu, Tu Fu Ling, Yun Ling, Ci Shi, Hua Shan (dried), Tai Zi Shen, Yuan Rou, Red Dates, Cordyceps Sinensis, Wu Zhi Mao Tao.

　　Note: The usage amount of the above herbs and ingredients is 10 grams each time, choose 1-2 kinds each time, and can be cooked into soup or congee with fish or chicken, pork bone, or quail. In hot and rainy weather, the baby is prone to dampness and heat, so more roasted green beans can be used to cook soup.

　　2, Hawthorn Decoction with Two Seeds:Boil water with 10 grams of Valley Seed and 10 grams of Wheat Seed each week, and add 5 grams of hawthorn to give the baby to drink.

　　Shu Di Huang Ju Yu Rou (each five liang) Chi Fu Ling Ze Xie Mu Dan Pi Shan Yao (Stir-fried) Dang Gui Chuan Liang Zi Shi Jun Rou (each three liang). Grind into fine powder, refine white honey into pills, as large as Hei Shi, grind with boiling water, take before meals.

　　3, Yuan Yuan San

　　Ren Shen Fu Ling Bai Zhu (Stir-fried in earth) Shan Yao (Stir-fried) Chuan Xiong Dang Gui Shu Di Huang Fu Shen Huang (Baked) Gan Cao (Baked) Bai Shao (Stir-fried). Use ginger and dates, decoct in water for oral administration. The song of the formula adjusts the origin of the scattered, Ren Shen Fu Ling Bai Zhu dry Shan Yao, Chuan Gui Shu Di Huang Fu Shen, Huang Gan Cao Bai Shao together.
